Honeysuckle Holiday Cottage is situated in open countryside, just 2 miles from the village of Haworth, well known for its connections with the Bronte family. Haworth's Georgian Parsonage MuseumHaworth’s steep main street, paved with stone setts is lined with historic buildings, inns, shops, galleries and cafes, leading down to the Worth Valley Steam Railway. A short drive into nearby Keighley and you can ride on the world famous Keighley & Worth Valley steam railway, a delightfully restored five mile branch line from its start, travelling back to Oxenhope and Haworth.  The stations on this historic line have appeared in numerous screen productions including 'The Railway Children', 'Yanks', 'Last of the Summer Wine' and even a 'League of Gentlemen' Christmas special!

Only 5 miles away is the town of Hebden Bridge nestling in a steep sided valley with many interesting shops, cafes and walks.  Hardcastle Crags, historic National Trust woodland, lies within easy walking distance of the town. Close by, is the hilltop village of Heptonstall, with ancient buildings including an old Grammar School and ruined church. Sylvia Plath, wife of poet Ted Hughes is buried in the churchyard.

Skipton, is less than 10 miles away, where there is a regular street market and an ancient church. The fascinating Castle, one of the finest Medieval Castles in the country, is well worth a visit, having dungeons, a spiral staircase and a moat. Skipton, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is within easy access of the Yorkshire Dales and attractions including Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Malham Cove, the Settle to Carlisle railway crossing Ribblehead Viaduct, Ripley Castle, Newby Hall and Gardens and Brimham Rocks.

A little further away the cities of York, Leeds and Bradford have Theatres, the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, excellent nightlife and famously fantastic curries!
